What SonaVyx Adds to Your Toolkit

As a Smaart user, you already know system alignment. SonaVyx does not try to replace your alignment workflow but adds capabilities Smaart does not have. AI diagnostics analyze your transfer function and generate specific adjustment recommendations — useful for training junior engineers or generating client reports. STI measurement per IEC 60268-16 quantifies speech intelligibility, which Smaart cannot do. Environmental noise monitoring calculates Lden and Ldn for regulatory compliance. The treatment calculator recommends acoustic treatment based on measured RT60. Problem detection automatically flags feedback frequencies, hum, polarity issues, and comb filtering.

What Does Not Transfer

Multi-input simultaneous measurement is Smaart strongest feature and SonaVyx does not replicate it. If your workflow depends on comparing 4-8 measurement positions in real time, Smaart is irreplaceable. Sub-sample delay resolution in Smaart exceeds SonaVyx IR-based delay finding. Smaart IO configuration for multi-channel interfaces has no equivalent in a browser environment. The Smaart ecosystem of training courses, user community, and industry adoption provides professional credibility that a newer tool cannot match overnight.

The Complementary Approach

The most productive approach is additive: keep Smaart at FOH for multi-input system alignment, and add SonaVyx for capabilities Smaart lacks. Use SonaVyx on your phone for walk-around coverage checks during sound check. Run STI measurement to verify speech intelligibility in conference rooms and houses of worship. Deploy the AI diagnostic when training new staff who need plain-English interpretation of transfer function data. Generate professional reports with health scores and specific recommendations for clients who cannot read a magnitude trace.

Keyboard Shortcut Mapping

SonaVyx keyboard shortcuts mirror common audio tool conventions: Space for start/stop, number keys 1-5 for mode switching, S for store, C for clear, R for reset zoom. If you are accustomed to Smaart keyboard workflow, the SonaVyx shortcuts will feel familiar. The F key toggles fullscreen mode, useful when presenting measurement results on a projector during system commissioning.

Export Compatibility

SonaVyx FRD export is compatible with any tool that reads standard frequency response data files, including Smaart import. JSON export includes full measurement metadata. CSV provides spreadsheet-compatible data. WAV export preserves impulse responses at 48kHz/24-bit. You can round-trip data between SonaVyx and other tools without data loss.
