The SonaVyx Report Generator transforms your measurement sessions into professional documentation suitable for client handover, regulatory compliance, and internal record-keeping. Whether you are commissioning a new installation, verifying a rental system before an event, or documenting the acoustic treatment of a studio, the report generator produces polished, detailed documents from the data you have already captured -- no manual formatting, no spreadsheet wrestling, no copy-pasting screenshots between applications.
The Quick Report condenses your measurement results into a single page: the System Health Score, top three issues, key frequency response metrics, and a pass/fail summary. It is designed for fast turnaround situations like sound checks and quick verifications where the engineer needs a documented snapshot without extensive narrative. The Client Summary template produces a two-to-three page visual report with color-coded charts, plain-language descriptions, and before/after comparisons. It is optimized for non-technical stakeholders -- venue managers, event producers, architects -- who need to understand what was measured and whether the system meets requirements, without getting lost in technical jargon. The Technical Report is the full commissioning document: every measurement data point, all EQ settings applied, phase analysis, equipment inventory, compliance notes against relevant standards (IEC 60268, STI per IEC 60268-16), and the engineer's commentary. This is the document you file for warranty claims, insurance records, and professional certification.
The report generator pulls all data directly from your SonaVyx measurement session -- frequency response curves, phase plots, coherence data, impulse response, RT60 measurements, SPL readings, diagnostic results, and equipment scan records. You do not need to export, import, or reformat anything. Select a session, choose a template, fill in the venue and engineer names, and click Generate. The report is ready in seconds.
Reports are currently available as HTML files that render perfectly in any web browser and can be printed to PDF using the browser's built-in print function. Native PDF generation using WeasyPrint is planned for a future update. Reports include all charts and data inline, so they are fully self-contained -- no external dependencies, no broken image links. You can email the HTML file directly to a client, attach it to a project management system, or print it for a physical handover binder. The free tier includes a subtle watermark on generated reports; SonaVyx Pro removes the watermark and adds your company logo and custom branding.
In the sound system installation industry, documentation is not optional -- it is the evidence that the work was done correctly. A well-structured commissioning report protects the integrator by proving that the system met specifications at handover. It protects the client by providing a baseline for future troubleshooting. It protects the manufacturer by documenting that equipment was installed and configured according to guidelines. And it protects the engineer's professional reputation by demonstrating thoroughness and competence. SonaVyx automates the most tedious part of this process -- the formatting and assembly of measurement data into a presentable document -- so the engineer can focus on the work that matters: listening, measuring, and optimizing.
